Every
Other Tuesday: Lilis Urban

Open: 6:00 PM
Starts: 6:30 PM
The
Doña Ana Arts Council continues its popular
Every Other Tuesday showcase in the Rio Grande
Theatre with a return performance by local
singer/songwriter, Lillis Urban. A rising name
in the Americana genre, while making her home in
Mesilla, Lillis has just returned from Austin,
where she has been recording songs for her debut
album, All You Ever Had Was Road. Urban has a
strong, honest voice and the songs to match.
With songs tied to the New Mexican landscape and
the American ideal, her vocal style is honest, a
little rough, yet innocent, and her songs are
the sort that you hear for the first time and
feel as though you have known and heard before.
A multi-instrumentalist, Lillis plays the
acoustic guitar and the clawhammer banjo, an
instrument she picked up and fell in love with
while living in Arkansas with her family. Every
Other Tuesday is a FREE concert series, open to
the public and sponsored by the Dona Ana Arts
Council.
